Microsoft delivers 2 Updates for 3 Vulnerabilities

Microsoft LogoOn the May 2011 Patch Tuesday, Microsoft released 2 security bulletins with according updates to close 3 security holes – just as announced last week. One of them is a critical and only affects the WINS server of Windows Server operating systems. The other 2 vulnerabilities are rated “important” and affect PowerPoint of Microsoft’s Office, also for Mac, and the Office Format Converters. The more recent Office Versions (2010 for Windows and 2011 for Mac) are safe though according to Microsoft.

As these vulnerabilities are likely to be abused by cyber criminals soon, users and administrators should install them as soon as possible!
